Nurturing a life-long love of learning

Devon Foundation Stage

Spring Term 2019

Following the Christmas break all of the children in Devon Class have come back happy and ready to learn! Across each day we are encouraging this children to ask questions and explore their own fascination's, both independently and when supported by their peers and teachers.

We have already enjoyed following the children's interests and learning all about sharks and the worlds fastest animals....do you know what the very fastest one is?

All of the children in Devon Class enjoyed taking part in the whole school art day, we learnt all about the abstract artist Kandinsky, exploring colour, size and shape...colour mixing with the finger paints was especially fun.

We are now taking the children's fascinations further by exploring pirates and mermaids....keep an eye on our class blog to see what we have been up to!

We will continue to focus on the children applying all of the skills they will need in order to be successful and engaged learners...embedding all of the skills the children will need so that all of the children develop to...

'be the best they can be'!

We are excited to keep working with you and helping you discover what support you can provide your child at home with supporting your child's learning - especially their phonics and reading, please enjoy sharing books and stories at home with your child and encourage them to play a range of games with you spotting numbers and letters both at home and when you are out and about.

Please look at our class blog (see below) with your child in order to see what we have been doing in class and have a conversation about what they have learnt and enjoyed!
