The Governing Body is established to govern and manage the work of the school. The school is a Locally Managed School and the Governors have extensive responsibilities, powers and duties with regard to all aspects of the school including the curriculum, finance, premises and staffing.

The instruments and articles regarding the operation of the Governors are statutorily established.

The full Governing Body meet once a term with additional meetings as required. Four Committees are established to manage and exercise a numbers of the Governing Body's duties. They are:

1) Finance & General Purposes
2) Strategic Development (including Curriculum)
3) Personnel & Pupils
4) Discipline Committee

The Governing Body is made up of:

2 x Foundation Governors including a Diocesan appointee:
Mr John Griffith, Mrs Barbara Wild

5 x Elected Parents:
Mrs Carolyn Brown (Chair), Mr Dave Wallace, Mrs Emma Sparks, Mrs Gill Wardle, Mr Andrew Sirs.

3 x Nominated LEA members:
Mr Andy Hall, x2 vacancies
1 x Staff Governor:
Miss Emma Tabreham

1 x Staff Governor (Head Teacher):
Mrs Linda Cox, Head Teacher

2 x Community members:
Mrs J Cudlipp, Mrs J Wordsworth

Associate member:
Mrs J Wallace


The relevant staff at the school elect the Staff Governor who, like other elected and appointed Governors, serve for a term of four years unless they leave the school or resign the position.
