Today, we have worked with The Canal and River Trust to learn more about canals.  Ask us about how and why they were built.

Well done Year 6 and thank you for your super efforts and calm, confident, positive attitudes to this week's SAT tests!  We are all very proud of you!

Date for diaries:

Monday 9th January - Year 6 assessment meeting for all parents, 3.30pm in Trent Classroom.

Find out how and when your child will be assessed at the end of their primary education and what the new scaled scores will look like and mean. Examples of the SATs tests and other assessment materials will be available to view and Miss Spence hopes to answer any of your questions.

Well done to all the players and good luck for your first match! We would all like to say a huge thank you to our new coach who is kindly giving his time each Tuesday to train the team.
We are learning to play violins! School has arranged for all Year 6 children to have their own violin and we are being taught every Monday by Mr Bottley. See the pictures below. If you would like your child to bring their violins home to practise, sign and return the letter coming home soon.
D.A.R.E sessions have begun with D.A.R.E. Officer Everett. In these sessions, Year 6 children are learning all about staying safe and healthy and also about different strategies to resist peer pressure. Parents will be invited to watch our D.A.R.E. presentation later on in the term when the children receive their certificates. See below if you'd like to get a head start in learning the D.A.R.E. song which we will be performing!
