School Vision

Our Vision for Education at St. Peter’s

Working with the whole school community of children, staff, parents and governors, we have these overall aims for St. Peter’s:

To provide the highest standards of education within a caring, inspiring and stimulating environment.

To nurture and support each child to have the confidence and ambition to achieve their best.

To build a school community that values and embraces an open mind to change.

To uphold a school community based on Christian values.

Curriculum Aims: we work with the school community to develop:

An inspiring curriculum that motivates children to become positive thinkers with enquiring minds, developing a life-long love of learning.

A diverse curriculum that that supports and challenges children to embrace and nurture their own talents and skills.

An engaging curriculum that prepares children for life, equipping them with the personal and social skills needed to play a responsible and highly effective role in their future lives.

‘Children at the heart’ – nurturing the whole child, our aims are to develop:

Children who grow to be confident resilient and resourceful learners, capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Children who have an enjoyment of learning in a happy, safe and stimulating environment.

Responsible children who play a significant role in their school and local community.

We believe that this calls for a School Community which has:

A highly skilled and committed team of staff and governors.

An ethos of partnership and trust between staff, children, parents and governors.

A learning culture which embraces the wider local community.

A collaborative approach to school improvement that builds strong partnerships with other schools and like minded organisations.
