Devon Foundation Stage

Summer Term 2 2019

Well, we cant quite believe we are down to the last few weeks of this academic year...all of the children in Devon Class have had a fantastic learning journey so far! Over the next few weeks we will super busy embedding the skills we have learnt so far, ready for the children's transition to Year 1 in September. We will also be busy joining in a range of whole school days including our annual Sports Day.

As always throughout each day we will be encouraging this children to ask questions and explore their own fascination's, both independently and when supported by their peers and teachers.

Later in the term the Foundation 1 children (who have settled really well into our setting) will be meeting their new peers who will join them in Full-time Foundation 2 in September!

We will continue to focus on the children applying all of the skills they will need in order to be successful and engaged learners...embedding all of the skills the children will need so that all of the children develop to...

'be the best they can be'!

We are excited to keep working with you and helping you discover what support you can provide your child at home with supporting your child's learning - especially their phonics and reading, please enjoy sharing books and stories at home with your child and encourage them to play a range of games with you spotting numbers and letters both at home and when you are out and about.

Please look at our class blog (see below) with your child in order to see what we have been doing in class and have a conversation about what they have learnt and enjoyed!
