Newark & District Athletics Competition
Super St. Peter’s Athlete’s!!
We recently took part in the Newark & Sherwood District Schools Athletics Competition. Our fabulous team from years 3,4,5 and 6 battled against local schools in events such as throwing, long jump, relay and sprinting. Everyone performed to the best of their ability and we are proud to say they were a credit to the school – from their behaviour to their determination. Special mention to Jake in Year 6 who hurt his shoulder in his sprint race but battled back to take part in the relay despite being in a lot of pain.
Highlights of the afternoon were Mollie in Year 3 – District Year 3 Sprint Champion, Billy in Year 4 – District Year 4 Throwing champion and Nathan in Year 4 – District Year 4 Sprint, 3rd place.
